Privacy and ads
MAIA runs on your device. Chats, settings and downloaded models stay in this browser or on your PC.
What stays on your device
Chat text, summaries, settings and model files are stored locally. They are not sent to us. MAIA has no accounts, analytics or telemetry. When you download a model, your browser fetches it from huggingface.co.
Ads
When MAIA is online, ads are served by Monetag, on this website and in both apps. Your browser or app loads Monetag's script, sends your IP address and browser details to their servers, and Monetag may store cookies or similar identifiers. Monetag's own policies cover that data, at monetag.com.
Ads only show while MAIA is open. MAIA does not register a service worker for ads, so Monetag cannot send you notifications after you close it. If an older version of this site left one behind, MAIA removes it the next time you open it.
MAIA never sends your chats, files or model files to Monetag.
Supporter codes
A supporter code turns ads off in one browser or app. Only the code's hash is kept; a small flag remembers the unlock. Clearing this site's data, or the app's data, removes it.
